Sponsored posts and link placements
IoT Crest puts your product in front of the people who build, buy and run connected systems: a sponsored article written for one of our five topics, or a link placed inside an article we have already published. Every placement is reviewed by the editorial team, labeled for readers, and its links carry rel="sponsored". Rates are on request.

- Readers: smart home users, small businesses, developers, students and plant operations people
- Topics: Smart home, Industrial IoT, IoT security, Sensors and hardware, Connectivity
- Every placement follows the editorial policy and the disclosure page
Send an inquiry
IoT Crest carries no inquiry form of its own. Sponsorship inquiries go through Passieon, the studio behind the site, so one team handles the brief, the invoice and the reply.

Say that it is about IoT Crest, name the page you want to link to and the topic you have in mind. Replies come with rates and available slots, usually within three working days.
What a sponsored post includes
A sponsored post is a full article on a subject you choose within one of our topics, written by the IoT Crest editorial team from your brief. It runs at around 1,000 to 1,500 words, carries a "Sponsored" label at the top, and includes one link to your site plus the links a reader would expect to standards and documentation.
- Written from your brief, then edited to the same standard as every other article
- One link to a page you choose, placed where it helps the reader, marked
rel="sponsored" - A visible disclosure label at the top, with the sponsor named on the page and in the article's structured data
- Turnaround is usually within two weeks of receiving the brief
- Listed in its topic hub and on the home page like any other article
What a link placement includes
A link placement adds one link to an article we have already published, in a sentence that fits the article. We write the sentence, you approve the wording, the link carries rel="sponsored", and the article gets a short note that it contains a paid link.
- One link inside an existing, relevant article, in front of readers already on that subject
- Anchor text agreed with you, kept natural and specific
- A disclosure note added to the article
- Turnaround is usually within a week of approval
- Links stay live for as long as the article does
Why paid links are marked sponsored
Search engines ask publishers to mark links that exist because of a commercial arrangement with rel="sponsored". We do that on every paid link, automatically, and we say so here because it is a useful filter. A buyer who wants a link that quietly passes ranking credit is not a buyer for this site. A buyer who wants a product explained well, in front of a technical audience that is already reading about the problem it solves, is. The disclosure page sets out exactly how placements are labeled and marked.
What we do not publish
Some categories are refused regardless of budget: gambling, adult content, pharmaceuticals, and crypto schemes or anything that reads as one. We also decline articles that ask us to state figures we cannot check, quote people we cannot verify, or describe a product as doing something it does not do.
If the subject is a genuine IoT product, service or tool, it will almost certainly be accepted. If you are unsure, ask in the inquiry and we will tell you before you write a brief.
How it works
- Send the inquiry through Passieon's form with the page you want to link to and the topic you have in mind.
- We reply with rates, the articles available for a placement, and any questions about the subject.
- For a sponsored post, you send a short brief; we write, you review once, and it goes live with its label.
- For a placement, we send the sentence and the article; you approve, and the link goes live.
